Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi while addressing an election rally at Ranchi(Jharkhand) said that poor people are the strength of this country, but our opposition feels ashamed of even discussing them. He said, “This election is an election between two ideologies. One ideology talks of aam aadmi represented by Congress and other is that of rich and selected people pushed by our opposition.”
He cited his visit to a village with a British Minister to show him the strength of the poor villagers. He said, “I took a British Minister to a village and spent night there. That minister had asked me to show the real strength of India. I suggested him to come out of big cities and go to the villages. The British minister understood the strength of India but our opposition has not still understood that; they ridiculed my visit saying that I am making a mockery of villagers.” He said that whatever development is visible in this country is due to the hard labour of the poor people. “They don’t want to talk about the poor, they even don’t see the labourers in Delhi,” he said.
