Congress (I) has blamed Mayawati for creating complete mess in Uttar Pradesh government which she has been heading since last five years. Demand for fresh case for possession of disproportionate assets against her is picking in the wake of Assembly elections due in early 2012. The people are sure that neither Mayawati nor her cabinet ministers will be able to explain the difference in value of the property they had in 2004 as compared to their present assets. Sonia Gandhi has repeatedly said during Congress (I)-led UPA tenure so much funds were made available to Uttar Pradesh as was never done before by any other government. Then where did those funds disappear? Why did Allahabad High Court order a CBI probe in financial irregularities in NRHM funds? Congress (I) has pointed out that surely funds to the tune of thousands of crores of rupees were pockets by Mayawati, her ministers, officials in conspiracy with contractors.
