Blaming Mayawati for running most corrupt government in the country Congress (I) has said not only ordinary people are feeling harassment but even senior officers including IAS and IPS officers are bearing the brunt of it. Mayawati government has been pressuring and even terrorizing the honest officer to do what is not covered by the rules, said Congress (I). Those who dare to disagree are placed under suspension. Even in some cases money was demanded from suspended officers to pass their reinstatement orders. Recently D.D. Mishra, an IPS officer of DIG rank made allegations of corruption against Mayawati government. In return he was declared mental case. Faced with similar situation former chief secretary Prashant Mishra took voluntary retirement. In yet another case IPS Officer Amitabh Thakur recently approached High Court to seek legal recourse for denial of promotion and harassment by Mayawati government, said Congress (I).
