Mayawati’s Ramkola and Betalpur Sugar Mill Scams: Congress (I)

Congress (I) has been highlight the scams of Mayawati government as a consequence of which Uttar Pradesh has suffered losses in thousands of crores in each case. Mayawati has no vision, no agenda for development of the state.  Instead of creating assets for the state she has been selling the existing assets to private parties at much below nominal price.  As a result while Mayawati has been making personal gain, the state has suffered huge losses. For instance Ramkola Sugar Mill was worth more than Rs 50 crores.  It was sold by Mayawati government for just Rs 4.55 crores to Giraso Private Limited which was even 10 times less than its actual price, said Congress (I).  Similarly Betalpur Sugar Mill was sold by Mayawati government for just Rs 4.55 crores whereas it could have fetched more than Rs 100 crores. Mayawati’s scams have, thus, ruined the state economically, has said Congress (I).
