Priyanka Gandhi Vadra daughter of the Congress President and UPA Chair person Sonia Gandhi and the sister of Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is campaigning for the Congress in Uttar Pradesh. He has been campaigning extensively in Amethi and Raebareli, the constituencies of her brother Rahul Gandhi and mother Sonia Gandhi respectively.
She emphasized that Rahul Gandhi has been doing commendable developmental activities in Amethi. She also detailed the welfare policies of the Congress-led UPA Government at the centre. Priyanka Gandhi said that the policies like MNREGA has brought tremendous changes in the lives of the poor in the country. By this scheme every poor is ensured minimum 100 days of job every year at the rate of Rs. Rs. 120/- per day. With this Act poor persons in the entire country is being benefitted, she added.
