Congress President Sonia Gandhi while addressing an election rally in Gurdaspur, Punjab said that the Akali-BJP government had destroyed and devastated the State and blocked development. She urged the voters to replace the present government in Punjab with a pro-poor Congress Government for all-round development of the state.
“For Congress, the politics and power are the means for serving the society and to work for the poor. It has been following this policy since the beginning and has been fighting for the upliftment of all the sections of the society. We will continue our efforts to serve the country with commitment, devotion and dedication” added Sonia Gandhi.
“Congress does not make hollow promises. It delivers what it promises”, assured the Congress President. “I therefore request you to support the Congress and elect a Congress Government in Uttarakhand. I also request you to play an important role for the progress of this beautiful state by ensuring every single vote for the Congress” concluded Sonia Gandhi.
