Mulayam Sigh Yadav offering false promises to voters: Rahul Gandhi

Charging SP Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav for encouraging hooliganism and casteism during his tenures as Chief Ministers, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has scorned all his election promises as false and misleading. How many promises Mulayam fulfilled in the past, asked Rahul Gandhi to the audience while addressing a public meeting in Allahabad for the ongoing UP Assembly elections.
Referring to Mulayam’s promise of free electricity, he said that there are no power plants built in the state for the past 22 years; so from where will the electricity come, asked Rahul Gandhi. Referring to Mulayam’s another claim that he will convert Bundelkhand into Israel, Rahul Gandhi said the people of Bundelkhand want water supply and not Israel.
Stressing the need for change to bring development, Rahul Gandhi said, “The youth needs to make Uttar Pradesh stand on its feet without wasting any more time. Twenty two years have already been wasted. It is time to remove BSP, BJP and Samajwadi Party.
” Highlighting that the people are fed up with this sort of drama by such leaders, Rahul Gandhi urged the people this time to vote for Congress (I) and assured that it will do all that to usher development in the state in next five years which the other parties failed to bring in the last 22 years.
