Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the start campaigner for the Congress, while touring in Amethi and Raebareli which are the Parliament constituencies of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi respectively, urged the voters to support Congress and elect congress candidates in the upcoming assembly polls in the state. She argued that the non-Congress parties follow the opportunistic and divisive ideology and the country cannot advance with such type of politics. Priyanka Gandhi therefore asked voters to vote thinking for a positive change and aiming for development in Uttar Pradesh.
“What is the purpose of politics? How do your leaders behave? If you do not ask these questions to yourself and if you don’t cast your vote intelligently, you will be the biggest looser and not the leaders, Congress party or Dr Muslim, because it is your election” said Priyanka Gandhi.
Priyanka Gandhi continued ”Yesterday someone was saying that this is the question of pride and honour of Rahul Ji as this is his constituency and Rahul Ji has been campaigning extensively in the state… and Congress should win all the seats in Rahul Ji’s constituency… But I do not agree with this… Rahul Ji’s honour is not connected with the votes… Rahul Ji’s honour is related with your affection… And it will continue as long as Rahul Ji and my family are blessed with your love and affection... “
