Congress vice-president addressed a huge Congress rally in Ambedkar Nagar, Delhi. He said Every single man is equal to us whether he belongs from any community, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or Christian or from any caste or creed and even belongs from any part of the country. You go places like Karnataka and Maharashtra and they make you run from there, especially those who come from UP and Bihar. Mrs Sheila's government has performed so well and everybody accepts that and she will do well in near future. She has done exceptionally well as far as infrastructure is concern and develops the metro as well and mono-rail is also coming to Delhi. On one hand Mrs. Sheila has work with dedication as her track record suggests on other hand there is BJP who only talks and doesn't do any work here.

Rahul Gandhi questions Mulayam’s quota promise

While addressing a rally as part of poll campaign in Uttar Pradesh’s Ambedkar Nagar Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Thursday questioned Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav's commitment for 28% quota to Muslims.

"Mulayam Singh Yadav says that reservation given to Muslims by the Central Government is not adequate. What did he do when he was the Chief Minister of the state thrice? He did nothing on this front and when Rashid Masood raised this matter he was expelled from SP", Rahul Gandhi said.

"Mulayam Ji says that he will give 28 per cent quota. The Supreme Court has said that this is not possible. He thinks that people understand nothing", he said.

"Mulayam Singh promises to provide power, water and quota and think that people would know nothing ... though he makes promises but when it is time to fight for the rights of the people he does nothing", Rahul said adding that on election eve the leaders are ready to say everything that people want to hear.

Rahul Gandhi urged the people to stand up and think for an alternative. He assured that a Congress Government in Uttar Pradesh will change the state positively in a span of five years and in ten years the state will be transformed completely.
