The Union budget 2013 presented by Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram is a balanced one with adequate focus on youth affairs. Newly appointed Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has been stressing for the need of addressing the issues of the youth and their empowerment. This has been the priorities of Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi also.
