Rahul Gandhi at Deoli (Rajasthan):We will not let BJP move an inch if they indulge in corruption

Rahul Gandhi in Rajasthan: We will fight the pro-rich policies of Rajasthan govt

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi kick-started his campaign for the Lok Sabha polls in Rajasthan by addressing a huge rally in the Deoli district in Tonk.
“Congress had lost the recent assembly polls in Rajasthan. After the elections, we have made a young Congress leader as the PCC President (Sachin Pilot) in the state. I had then told Sachin to make a new team of youngsters in the party and also to fight against all anti-people policies of the BJP government here. I asked him not to give BJP an inch of space to move if they indulge in any such activities” said Rahul Gandhi.
Attacking the BJP for its double-speak on corruption, the Congress leader continued, “Nowadays, the BJP leaders roam around and deliver big speeches on corruption. But the corruption in the states ruled by them – Rajasthan, Gujarat or Karnataka – is not visible for BJP. You must be remembering the level of corruption under the erstwhile BJP government in Rajasthan. They were on the top in corruption”. “This time too, BJP will try their level best to indulge in all corrupt practices here, and we, the Congress Party, will definitely stop them from all such deeds. We will fight at all levels – on roads, in the streets and villages”, he declared and warned, “The BJP government here will also try to stop all the pro-people policies launched by us like free-medicines and pension. Their efforts will be to run a pro-rich, pro-business government”. “But we will wage a strong battle; we will fight for Metro project, free-medicine schemes,” added Rahul Gandhi.
“We have initiated a, industrial corridor project - Delhi – Mumbai, Mumbai-Chennai and Delhi – Kolkata. This proposed corridor will boost the industries and once it is completed lakhs of youth will have employment opportunities. The benefits of this project not only will benefit Rajasthan but other states also. We have already started the works and we will definitely complete it in time” he informed.
“We will never forget the poor. We will enhance our policies to grant right to the people like right to job, right to food and right to education. Our endeavour is to build a strong floor under the feet for the poor so they can lead more relaxed and comfortable life and to bring them into the middle class” assured Rahul Gandhi.
While concluding his address, Rahul Gandhi said that Congress will promote new generation leaders in the future. “We want to work more for the upliftment of the poor and underprivileged. We will teach BJP government in Rajasthan that they can’t indulge in corrupt practices like they had done before. Congress will show them how to fight. We will field new faces and young people in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections here and will bring a government of youth” said the Congress Vice President.
After the rally, Rahul Gandhi will hold interactions with labourers in Kolayat tehsil in Bikaner later in the evening.

Rahul Gandhi meets North-East students at Jantar Mantar, assures swift action

Rahul Gandhi: There is only one India, where every single person is treated with respect and justice
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday joined the students from the north-east protesting at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, demanding strict action against those involved in the killing of Nido Tania, a student from Arunachal Pradesh, who was beaten to death in Lajpath Nagar. He promised very strict action apart from setting up of a committee to look into the treatment meted out to people from the region.
“There is only one India which is matter to me and that India is an India where every single person has respect and justice and treated fairly. There is no other India that I am interested in as far as I am concerned whether you are from north earth east or south India or you belong from any other religion” said Rahul Gandhi.

Here is the full text of his brief address to the students:

What happened here is completely unacceptable. I understand your sentiment 100%. You have mentioned to me what you are looking for. You are looking for a committee and you are looking for strict action. We have already started to work on these two things so you can expect very strict action against the people who did this. You can expect a detail study will be done by a committee on the issues on north easterners in this country. We are trying to move forward on that. There is one question arises; which India matters to you?
There is only one India which is matter to me and that India is an India where every single person has respect and justice and treated fairly. There is no other India that I am interested in as far as I am concerned whether you are from north earth east or south India or you belong from any other religion. There is only one India and that Indian is for all of us and I want you to understand this very-very clearly. We are going to fight for that and we are going to ensure that you will get respect in this country full-stop. I was looking at the picture of Nido and to me he represents this country. Like all of you he represents this country.”
It doesn’t matter where he comes from. Who he is? What he is look like? These things do not matter, for me only one thing matters that he is Indian. Because he is Indian and because he is Indian he deserves respect, he deserves justice, he will get it. I am here with you and I shouldn’t be on stage I should there with you because my spirit and my heart is 100% with you. Many- many people in this country, majority of this country, actually believe that everyone deserves respect. There are few people who do not believe this but majority of the people believe, the majority of the people think every India deserves respect, deserves love, deserves justice.
