I am only a catalyst, youth will elect their leader themselve: Rahul Gandhi
On the second and last day of his 2-day tour to Rajasthan, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi addressed a press conference in Jaipur and addressed a series of meeting with Congress workers and minority youths. He addressed a meeting of Congress representatives coming from across the state and also interacted with minoriy youths at Jaipur.
Before that, Congress General Secretary visited Bikaner and Jodhpur where he attended meetings of Youth Congress workers and addressed students. At Jodhpur Medical College auditorium, he interacted with students. Students of different colleges were present there and he said that youths should come forward in politics. He said that leadership should emerge from various fields and doctors, engineers and other professionals should also come forward to take the reign. Thereafter he went to Goshala Maidan to address a meeting of Youth Congress workers. Interacting with them, he said that now youth will elect their own leadership and it will not be imposed from the top. There is no place of leader Para trooping as organization elections are being held in Youth Congress all over the country. “If one has to grow in the party hierarchy he had to work hard and mere references will not work, “he said.
