Congress (I) has said in spite of Mayawati’s often repeated claim that she is against corruption and criminalization of politics, corruption cases are piling against her government. It is said during recent construction of monuments there was huge corruption and manipulation. Stones which actually cost Rs 400 per square feet were purchased at the rate of Rs 4000 per square feet. Congress (I) has alleged that Elephant which originally cost Rs 10 lakh was bought for Rs 90 lakh. Certain political analysts point out that there have been many hundred of scams during Mayawati regime, said Congress (I). It is being said scams of Mayawati government are bigger than 2G spectrum and CWG scams. 2G and CWG scams together involved just Rs 2.46 lakh crore while Mayawati government scams total to Rs 2.60 lakh crores. It is time for Mayawati government to take stock of its misdoings as Assembly elections are due shortly in early 2012 in which Mayawati will surely be thrown out, said Congress (I).
