Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has blamed Mayawati for running the most corrupt government in the country. Under Janani Surksha Yojana (JSY) - a centrally financed scheme - Rs 1,400 is given to a mother belonging to BPL category for having an institutional delivery. Among endless number of corruption cases in JSY funds a case has come to notice where Razia Bano, resident of Shipura village in Shivpura block of Balrampur district, first delivered a baby on May 5, 2010 and then delivered a second baby on June 12, 2010. This is only one instance where there are thousands of such cases of much more serious corruption in such cases. This confirms that Mayawati closed her eyes towards this corruption and open loot in the state thus prevented the benefits of this scheme reaching to the poor and deserving poor women, said Congress (I).
