Rahul Gandhi: Transformation of Uttar Pradesh overdue

Charging Chief Minister Mayawati for keeping the Uttar Pradesh politics mired in caste politics, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said Mayawati and Mulayam Singh Yadav have taken the state back ward instead of taking it forward. Speaking at a public meetings at various places of Uttar Pradesh as part of his campaign for Congress Rahul Gandhi challenged “show me one state ruled by Congress (I) which has not developed”.  Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are in forefront of development due to visionary policies of Congress (I). The people of UP are talented and hardworking and need right government to bring in transformation which is over due. Rahul Gandhi said, “Aaj nahi karoge, kal karna hoga. So, he cautioned: “You were angry with Mulayam Singh’s goonda raj in 2007 but chose to give 208 seats to Mayawati. What happened? She looted the state, forgot your interests and pushed the state backward. Don’t commit that mistake again. Put Congress (I) in Lucknow and you will see the change in just five years,” said Rahul Gandhi.
