Blaming UP chief minister Mayawati for ignoring problems of aam admi and unleashing corruption in the state, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said aam admi was shunned and treated with contempt under Mayawati government. Same was the fate of farmers, too. “The chief minister has no time for their suffering and instead prefers to grab their land to help the rich and mighty.” Congress (I) leader said. Referring to his fight for the cause of farmers he said when farmers of Bhatta-Parsol and Thappal asked for fair compensation as price of their lands Mayawati government fired bullet at them adding that Mayawati do not like to meet poor people or to know their problems. Referring to Mayawati's helicopter rides; he said view from air can never tell the true picture of the state of affairs on the ground. Urging the people to vote for change, Rahul Gandhi promised that a government of poor by Congress (I) will work for welfare of aam aadmi.
