Rahul Gandhi: Congress will take people voice to Lucknow

Hitting hard against Mayawati and Mulayam Singh Yadav as well as BJP for ignoring the aspiration of the people, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has assured the people of Uttar Pradesh that Congress (I) will ensure that their voice is heard in Lucknow.
These parties have been giving empty promises to the people but have done nothing for them during the last twenty two years, said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public meeting in Hardoi on February 14 for the ongoing Assembly elections in the state of  Uttar Pradesh. Blaming Mayawati for neglecting the plight of Bundelkhand which was her duty to attend, he said when the people approached Congress (I)-led UPA government and it approved Rs 8,000 crore package for the drought hit region.
Not sparing Mulayam Singh Yadav either, he said Mulayam promised to convert Bundelkhand into Israel but the people needed water and electricity not Israel. Taking a dig at BJP, Rahul Gandhi said they coined ‘India Shining’ slogan by seeing TV advertisement but its leaders never visited the houses of poor to see they were living in gloom and poverty.
Asserting that this situation can not be allowed to go any further, Rahul Gandhi urged the people this time to vote for Congress (I) and assured that his party will take their voice to Lucknow and make sure that it is heard.
