He was addressing an election meeting at Unnao as part of his ongoing campaign for Congress in Uttar Pradesh.
“Mayawati says my visits to villages are mere drama. Rahul Gandhi likes this drama very much. And I will continue this till the last,” declared the Congress General Secretary amidst applauds.
"Over the past five years have you ever seen Mayawati visiting any village or a Dalit home," he asked. "Is there anything worthy of a mention successive government did over the past 22 years? Can you name any," Rahul Gandhi asked and said the successive regime only looted and plundered the state.
"Mulayam Singhji promises to turn Bundelkhand into Israel," he mocked. "Where was he when Bundelkhand was reeling under the impact of a seven-year-long drought ... when people were fleeing," he asked.
Rahul Gandhi urged the people to stand up and support Congress. He expressed confidence that Congress is going to form the next Government in Uttar Pradesh. He assured that a Congress Government in Uttar Pradesh will transform the state and will bring back development in Uttar Pradesh.
