Coming down hard on parties like BSP, SP and BJP for ruling the state over last 22 years without caring to provide good governance and development to the people, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has accused these parties of fooling the people for so long. "Leaders of these parties have never bothered to visit remote villages and meet the poorest of the poor. So, they do not know what the needs of the people are and how urgently those need to be attended,” said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public meeting for Assembly elections 2012. They do not appreciate the wisdom of the common man, he further said and added, “I have been to the houses of farmers and artisans during the past seven years of my political career. I have learnt more from them than I did from my teachers at prestigious educational institutions in America and England.” He said Congress (I) will ensure that money for the welfare and developmental schemes reach the people which is at present being swallowed by the BSP elephant in Lucknow. Assuring the people that Congress (I) will take their voice to Lucknow, Rahul Gandhi urged them this time to vote for his party and assured that Congress (I) will provide pro-people government and change the face of the state. They will be able to see the change in just next five years, he added.
