People in UP need to work in a modern way: Rahul Gandhi


Addressing a huge crowd at a big public rally in UP, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said, “The people of UP need to work in a modern way, think in a new way and then only we can bring in positive changes”. “It is in your hands, you will have to take the responsibility to change Uttar Pradesh and I will always be there to support you to accomplish the task” Rahul Gandhi told.

“I can’t differentiate between two Indians. I can’t differentiate who is a Muslim, who is a Brahmin and who is a Thakur. I am blind. I believe that we all are one, we all are Indians,” said the Congress General Secretary while addressing the rally at Deoband.

Rahul Gandhi also had addressed a public rally in Muzaffarnagar. “The sugarcane farmers face problems. I have to raise their problems in Parliament? But it was the responsibility of the state government to take up this case? We need to change this. Only the youth can bring about changes”, he said.

“Please forget what happened in the past, let us bring in changes now and shape the future. Think about the future, it’s your duty. I am here to hold your hands. This is not a matter of one election, it’s about the future of Uttar Pradesh. I will be here after elections also”, Rahul Gandhi assured and the crowd acknowledged it with cheers.

The young Congress MP, Rahul Gandhi, who was on a three-day visit to western Uttar Pradesh, received a rousing welcome at various places in the region. All roads were jam-packed to have a glimpse of the young Congress leader. People were standing in long queues on both side of the road to welcome Rahul Gandhi.
