Non-Congress parties kept UP stagnant in terms of development: Rahul Gandhi

Slamming non-Congress parties likes BSP, SP and BJP for keeping the state stagnant in terms of development, AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had said that only Congress (I) is working as a catalyst for change in Uttar Pradesh.  These non-Congress parties have kept the state in stagnation while the other states are moving ahead, had said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public meeting in UP during his recent poll campaign in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The people have tried these parties too long but they failed to deliver on their promises each time, Rahul Gandhi had said. The Congress leader stressed that that only development can change situation and added that only Congress (I) could ensure development. Rahul Gandhi had further said that Congress (I) does not believe in making promises which it cannot be fulfilled and added “We make only one promise that Congress would work for the people and development of this state.”
The Congress leader had said since 2004, the Congress led government at the centre is a government for the common man. It has given schemes like MNREGA, loan waiver scheme for farmers, weavers’ package, national highways and JNRUM. “We do not have a Congress government in UP and yet we have done so much here,” added the Congress General Secretary.
Arguing that should both the central government and UP government be of Congress (I) the pace of development would be much faster, Rahul Gandhi requested the people to give a chance to Congress to form government.  The Congress MP from Amethi had assured that Congress (I) will usher development in the state in next five years.
