Sonia Gandhi in Raebareli, inaugurates AIR Rainbow FM station

Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi inaugurated AIR Rainbow FM station in Raebareli, her parliamentary constituency. The FM rainbow available at 102.8 mhz would provide information and entertainment to people of the constituency. After the inauguration of FM station at Puranpur village under Amawav block, she also gave a congratulatory message to the people.



“I am very happy to inform that All India Radio will now start broadcasting of its most popular Rainbow FM programmes from Raebareli too. This will not only give an opportunity for the youth, women, children and senior citizens in Raebareli to share their thoughts and feelings but also provide them with a chance to express their potential and talent. This also will enhance the social, cultural and economic sectors in the region. I am also told that this station will be strengthened further to cater more distance. I take this opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations and all the very best on this historic achievement”, said Sonia Gandhi in her message.

The Congress President inaugurated several roads in her parliamentary constituency Raebareli and also inaugurated a water treatment plant at Saraimugla. Sonia Gandhi, who reached Raebareli this morning, inaugurated and laid foundation of over 50 roads constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) connecting various villages of her constituency and also opened 13 branches of United Bank.
During the visit, she would lay the foundation of a new railway line -- Raebareli- Maharajganj-Akbarganj. This line would bring Mahrajganj tehsil of Raebareli on the railway map for the first time. Besides, Raebareli will be connected to Faizabad by the shortest railway rout
