Priyanka Gandhi at Raebareli: We do not need a 56 inch chest to run the country but a kind heart

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra daughter of Congress President and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and sister of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi addressed various election meetings at Raebareli , the Lok Sabha constituency of Sonia Gandhi. While addressing to masses she slammed BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi by saying that our country does not need a 56 inch chest to run the country but we need a kind heart.
“India doesn’t need cruel politics but a moral power. It doesn’t want the display your false promises of power and authority but we need a determination for welfare,” Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said.
She also said that it’s a nation of Mahatma Gandhi. Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Dalit, Tribals have sacrificed their lives. We must save this country from communal forces.
“The blood which runs through our veins has already mixed with the soil of our land. It’s our religion to save this country,” Priyanka Gandhi Vadra asserted.
The daughter of UPA chairperson also said that Raebareli has developed massively in last ten years. The conditions of roads and electricity polls are good. Solar water pump and solar lights have planted in many villages. Congress has always made policies with a vision and foresight.
“I always feel very happy when I meet SHG women. This movement was started by Rahul ji (Gandhi) and 12 lakh more women are already connected with this movement. He wants to make you knowledgable and empowered so that you gain confidence. He showed you the path and you walked on it,” said the sister of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.
“It’s not an election in which you can limit your thinking. Think about the women, child, youth; think about the future of this nation. What kind of country you want. What kind of politics you want - a politics of brotherhood and harmony or a politics which spreads rage and hatred,” Priyanka Gandhi Vadra reminded.
“When go out to cast your vote on 30th, vote not only for development, growth and equality but also vote for the country. Vote to remain the dignity and peace of the country. Vote to save the culture of the country. I hope you will think about all these things,” she concluded her speech.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was on a one day visit in Raebareli to campaign.
