Accusing the past and present governments of Uttar Pradesh like BJP, SP and BSP for failing to undertake development, Congress (I) has said its development oriented approach is only alternative for the present ills of the state. While addressing a rally at Badaun in West UP, Rahul Gandhi said over the last twenty two years these parties have been ruling the state but what have they given to you? BJP government came and left. Mulayam Singh Yadav’s Samajwadi only talked about caste politics which benefited only 10% of the people. Mayawati government turned out to be worst in terms of corruption and governance. Mayawati government will also go. But what will happen to people who have been suffering under these governments. Rahul Gandhi has said the only way to end this vicious cycle of caste politics and corruption is to bring responsible and development oriented government. Rahul Gandhi assured the people that Congress (I) will be such a government, if given chance.
